If you have a Linux hosting package you can password protect your domains awstats by doing the following:
1. Either in DirectAdmin or via an FTP program that can see the .htaccess file, open it and copy its current contents
2. In DirectAdmin, click on the password Protected directories, and navigate your way through to AWstats folder, and Protect it. Use the appropriate tutorial to help you, they are located here: http://blacknight.ie/directadmin.0.html
3. Re-open the .htaccess, and ensure that the lines that were originally in the file are still in there somewhere. If not, add them and save the file. Unfortunately there is no way to password protect awstats on our Windows hosting packages yet.
This applies only to your older shared hosting plans (through Direct Admin and Helm), not hosting packages through cp.blacknight.com
You can password protect Aw-Stats on our new Windows hosting packages when you enable Aw-Stats or under: Home > AWStats Web Statistics
