Email on Shared Hosting / Email Only
If you are the Admin on the Blacknight Account:
As an Administrative user of the Blacknight Control Panel account (https://cp.blacknight.com), you can change passwords on "Service Users" via two different locations:
- Login >> E-mail (on the menu) >> click into the email account (via it's Display Name)
- Login >> Users (on the menu) >> click into the user (via it's Display Name)
You will then see "Change Password", click into that and following the instructions; once submitted the change will take a few moments and then see below on How can I check to see if the password I have is correct?.
If you cannot login then the change has either not gone through yet or the password you have is incorrect, noting that the username is always the full email address.
If you do not see the user, or "E-mail" on the menu, you would first need to choose the relevant Hosting subscription that has the email hosting for the domain assigned to; you can do so via the "Subscription dropdown (top-right of the screen) under the Account ID.

If you are a "Service User" i.e. you do not have Administrative credentials to the Blacknight Control Panel account, and simply have an email address and password combination, you can change your own password only if you know the current password.
However, if you do not know the password to the email account/Service User you would need to contact the Blacknight Account Holder, or those that have administrative login credentials, and ask them to reset the password for you.
If you know your current password:
- For Shared Hosting Email / Email Only / Hosted Exchange:
- You would login via https://cp.blacknight.com with your email address and password and then click into "Login" and then into "Change Password".
- For Microsoft/Office 365:
- Follow the guide here: Change your Office 365 for business password
Please note that our Support team cannot change the password for you; only an Administrative user on the Blacknight account can change the password and supply it to you.
