Blogs such as WordPress use a method known as "ping" to inform other blogs and blog services, such as technorati, about updates to your blog. To setup pings from your blog login to your WordPress blog and go to: Options > Writing You should see a section "Update Services" You can add other ping services to the list, such as: http://www.planetoftheblogs.com/xml-rpc.php - planetoftheblogs.com ping server http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping - technorati's ping server http://pingoat.com/goat/RPC2 - a multi-server service More information on these services is available on the Wordpress Codex
