Importing/Exporting a MySql database on shared hosting

To export or import a database you will need to log into cp.blacknighthosting.com (cp.blacknight.com for our legacy Minimus\Medius\Maximus plans)

Mega\Giga\Tera Plesk and Wordpress cPanel plans:

cp.blacknighthosting.com >> Services >> My Services >> your plesk\wordpress plan >> PHPMyAdmin

Legacy Minimus\Medius\Maximus plans:
Select the subscription the database is on from the subscription menu on the top of your control panel in http://cp.blacknight.com.

Then click on on the 'More services' tab, then click on "Databases" then click on the Database name in question. Then click the URL beside "Browse database manager". This will open a new window or tab in your browser.

Export:

Click the database name in the top left corner of this screen and then click on the "Export" tab. Now scroll down and tick the option for 'Save as File', now click Go in the bottom right hand corner.

Import:
Click the new MySql database name you created and click the URL beside "Browse database manager". This will open a new window. Click the database name in the top left corner of the screen and then "Import". Click "Browse" and find the zipped file on your Desktop and then click "Go".
