The following covers how to set up a DNS records for Google on our older cp.blacknight.com panel. If you need to do this on cp.blacknighthosting.com (for any domains on accounts created after June 2022) please see here:
How to edit DNS records in cp.blacknighthosting.com
1) Go to "Hosted Domains" and click on your domain.
(you can find Hosted Domains on the Home tab of your control panel, under the "Domains" heading)
2) Click on the "DNS" tab and then the "DNS Records" sub-tab:
3) Click "Add New DNS Record".
a) Choose "MX" from the "DNS Record Type"
b) For "Mail Domain", you can leave this field blank.
c) For "Preference", it would correspond to the number beside the record listed by Google (See the bottom of the page for the records.)
d) For "Mail Exchanger", enter the record from the records listed by Google (See the bottom of the page for the records).
e) Leave the "TTL" as default
5) Click "Finish"
Note: It can take between 1 to 3 hour for the DNS Records to update and for Google to detect them.
