If you prefer to install the manual way through an FTP Client please visit the following -
Login to - https://cp.blacknight.com/
Alternatively, you can visit our website https://www.blacknight.com/ and click on 'My Account' top right.
Ensure you have the correct subscription selected from the drop-down menu top right.
Click on the 'Websites' tab
Find the domain you are looking to install Wordpress on and click on it.
If your domain is not listed, or, it's listed but does not have website hosting enabled you can attach it as per the following separate article-
Under 'Website Tools' click on 'Web Applications'
Ensure you wait up to 30 seconnds for the next page to load.
Click on 'WordPress' from the bottom of the list
On the next screen everything should bo Ok. If not please Contact Us for further assistance.
Press 'Next >>' to continue.
Now you will need to decide where on your domain you'd like your WordPress-site to appear.
- In the root directory of your website. (For example, http://example.com/)
- Or, in a sub directory of your website. (For example, http://example.com/wordpress/)
If you want this WordPress installation to be your main website, set the URL path to just /
You can always change this afterwards as per the following - Change URL Path
Fill out the details and then press 'Next >>' to continue.
Once you are happy with everything, check the data and press 'Finish' to process.
The install process can take up to 20 minutes.
- To check the status, click on the Green arrow top right.
- Once installed you can click on 'Login' and this will bring you to the WordPress Dashboard.
That's it, you're done!!
