That depends. We would recommend that you use SSL if you are collecting any personal data. SSL ensures that all data transmitted is encrypted which makes the data transmission more secure (safer). If you are using a 3rd party gateway for payment processing you may not need an SSL certificate, although it is still recommended to improve SEO and avoid "Not Secure" appearing on some internet browsers.

How do I get an SSL?
We provide free SSL certificates with all of our shared hosting plans. If you have a VPS or dedicated server then it depends on the software you are using. With cPanel\WHM or Plesk you can use AutoSSL or SSL IT! respectively.
If you are using our Site Builder then you can enable SSL by simply clicking "Redirect to HTTPS" at no extra cost!
