Ordering an SSL Certificate

You should not order a certificate if your website is on one of our shared hosting plans - we include SSL certs on them at no extra charge.

As of March 2026 SSL certs can only be valid for 200 days. You need to manually re-issue and re-install your certificate within 200 days of ordering\renewing it. 

By 2028 this will be reduced to 47 days.  You need to work on changing your applications to use automatic SSL certificates instead.

If you would still like to manually order your own SSL certificate then please follow the steps below.

• In cp.blacknighthosting.com, go to:
• Services >> Order New Services >> SSL Certificates

• Choose the certificate type that you want. 
  • For a single domain, choose Sectigo PositiveSSL Certificate (DV)
  • For multiple domains, choose Sectigo PositiveSSL Multi-Domain Certificate (DV)
  • For a wildcard domain (*.domain.com), choose Sectigo PositiveSSL Wildcard Certificate (DV)

• Confirm the billing details, payment and click on Checkout

• You will get an order confirmation. Click on Continue to Client Area
