How to generate a CSR on our newer minimus, medius, and maximus plans.
This only applies to Linux or Windows shared hosting packages on the cp.blacknight.com control panel system. If you are hosted on an older Direct Admin or Helm hosting package then we will generate the CSR for you.
Go to: Account >> Account Settings >> More Tools >> Certificates >> Request
Bits: set this to 2048

Country: Your country
State/Province: State, Province or county
Location (City): Town or city

Download the private key and CSR when given the opportunity or else you may have to repeat this process.
if you have not downloaded the "Private Key" and/or wish to save it to the "Repository", ensure you click "Close" at the final screen - if you do not do this the Private Key will be lost.
NB: the address and company name apply to the company the domain name corresponds to, if you are a reseller or web developer this would not be your own company name or address
NB: If you are not hosting the website the cert is for with us then the CSR must be generated on the server the website is hosted on.
