In order to route your web traffic through the Cloudflare network, you need to change your original nameservers to the Cloudflare nameservers.
The steps required to update your nameservers are:
- Log in to Cloudflare and make note of your nameservers.
- Not sure where to find your nameservers values? You can find the Cloudflare name servers for your domain in your Cloudflare dashboard under Overview.
Then to change your nameservers on your registered domain on Blacknight
- Log into the Blacknight Control Panel at https://cp.blacknighthosting.com
- Go to Domains >> My Domains
- Click the
...beside the domain name and click Manage Nameservers - Click Use Custom Nameservers and enter in the new nameserver details.
- If you wish to switch back to Blacknight's Nameservers, click Use default nameservers
- Click Change Nameservers
Nameservers are set on the account the domain is registered under. It can take up to 24-48 hours for a nameserver change to go through fully, though most places start to see the change in 4-6 hours.
Some TLDs require manually setting the nameservers, if you get any error or are unable to change the nameservers please contact us at help@blacknight.com
