Yes we can accept payment by direct debit.
**IMPORTANT** Your first Direct Debit will take 14 days to complete, if you need a product or service provisioned immediately we recommend making payment by Credit Card initially. Direct Debit can be set up at any time by following the steps below.
When you are logged into your control panel at https://cp.blacknighthosting.com :
- On the top right of the screen, select the dropdown for “My Account” then click on “Direct Debit Settings”
- Click on “Online Mandate”
- Complete the mandate and make sure it is signed.
- In order for your payments to be taken by Direct Debit you must select: “ Change my default payment method to Direct Debit”. If this checkbox is not selected then your invoice will not be put forward for Direct Debit collection.
- Once you are happy with the information click “Sign Mandate”
- The billing department will be notified that you have signed up for Direct Debit and contact you if there are any issues.
Can I change my bank details on my existing Direct Debit to come from a new bank account?
We cannot edit existing bank details, you can however create a new Direct Debit mandate for payment to be taken from a new account. The newest mandate will be the active and the old details will be inactive on your account.
To add a new mandate follow these steps:
- On the top right of the screen, select the dropdown for “My Account” then click on “Direct Debit Settings”
- Click on "Update Bank details"
- Enter the new bank details, sign and then click on "Save Bank Details"
It is important to note that if you are changing your bank details that the system will treat this as a First Direct Debit and will take up to 14 days to be debited from your bank. If you need a product or service provisioned immediately we recommend making payment by Credit Card initially.
