This guide will help you add a subdomain to your MEGA/GIGA/TERA or WordPress hosting plans. The guide is also applicable to CloudVPS and Dedicated Hosting plans that have Plesk or cPanel installed.
MEGA/GIGA/TERA (Plesk)
- Log into the Blacknight Control Panel at https://cp.blacknighthosting.com
- Go to:
- Services >> My Services
- Click on your plan (Not the domain name itself)
- Under "One Click Login", click Plesk
- Within Plesk, click on Add Subdomain
- Choose what you want the subdomain to be
- Plesk will automatically create a folder for your new subdomain
Once you add the subdomain above, you will need to create the DNS record for it. If the domain is using blacknightdns.com nameservers, then that is under:
Domains > Manage DNS > Click the Edit Zone icon (page with a pen) to the right of the domain in question
Add a new A record here, with your subdomain name, pointing to the IP address of your site (most likely the same IP address of www.domainname.com)
Please see here for more information:
WordPress (cPanel)
- Log into the Blacknight Control Panel at https://cp.blacknighthosting.com
- Go to:
- Services >> My Services
- Click on your plan (Not the domain name itself)
- Under "One Click Login", click cPanel
- Within cPanel, find the Domains section and click Domains.
- Click Create a New Domain
- Enter the full address for the subdomain - Example:
shop.example.com - Uncheck the box for "Share document root (/home/username/public_html) with “example.com”."
- Click Submit.
Once you add the subdomain above, you will need to create the DNS record for it. If the domain is using blacknightdns.com nameservers, then that is under:
Domains > Manage DNS > Click the Edit Zone icon (page with a pen) to the right of the domain in question

Please see here for more information:
If you are not hosting the website for the subdomain on your Blacknight hosting plan, then you most likely just want to create a DNS record for it instead, pointing to where you are hosting it:
