Bare metal restore of VPS with Acronis backup

If you are only looking to restore individual files or folders then the following process is best:

If you have our Acronis backup service and need to do a full, bare-metal-restore of your entire cloud VM\VPS then please see the following steps.

Boot from the Acronis ISO

Newer VPS plans

1. Log in to https://cp.blacknighthosting.com
2. Go to Services > My Services > clikc on the VPS in question > Reinstallation > ISO Images
3. Click the circular arrow icon to the right of Acronis BootBMRdisk

The Restore Process:

1. Once the VM boots on the ISO (this can take a few minutes) click on Console to open the console
2. You will need to configure the Networking.
   1. Put in your server's IP address and change the netmask to 255.255.254.0.
   2. The gateway depends on your IP address. Contact us if you are unsure. 
   3. Use 81.17.240.194 as the DNS server (leave suffix blank)
