If you have our Acronis backup service and need to do a full, bare-metal-restore of your entire VM - that is located on our legacy cloud1.blacknight.com or cloud2.blacknight.com system, then please see the following steps.
- Log in to https://cloud1.blacknight.com or https://cloud2.blacknight.com (whichever URL is the control panel for the particular VM you want to restore)
- Go to Virtual Servers > VM name > Tools > Boot from ISO
- Pick the Acronis ISO
- If the reboot fails at this point (see the Activity log to check this) then please contact us
- Once the VM boots on the ISO (this can take a few minutes) click on Console to open the console
- You will need to configure the Networking.
- Put in your server's IP address and change the netmask to 255.255.254.0.
- The gateway depends on your IP address. Contact us if you are unsure.
- Use 81.17.240.194 as the DNS server (leave suffix blank)
