Important Note About Two Factor Authentication
If you have enabled Two Factor Authentication on your Titan mailbox you will not be able to make a connection to the mailbox from an external application. As such you would need to either:
- Use Titan Webmail or the Titan Apps to connect to the mailbox.
- Remove Two Factor Authentication from the Titan mailbox if you want to use Outlook etc..
Enabling Two Factor Authentication
If you do not need to connect to the Titan mailbox from an external email software - such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or mail on your phone etc. then you can go ahead and enable Two Factor Authentication if you wish.
You would then enable this via the Titan Webmail interface for your email account.
Refer to the following article for more information on this:
Disabling Two Factor Authentication
If you are an admin for the Titan email system you can access the Titan Email Control Panel to remove the Two Factor Authentication.
Note that you can see the mailboxes listed as admin via the Blacknight Control Panel, via the Email Accounts section for the particular Titan instance for the domain.
To clarify, one or more email accounts can be listed as an admin for the Titan Email Control Panel -- which is separate to the Blacknight Control Panel.
Then, when you know which user can access as an admin you can login here:
https://manage-euc1.titan.email/
Once logged in, click on the ellipsis icon next to the email account for which you wish to disable 2FA and click on “Disable Two-Factor Authentication.”
